After breakfast, I went for a long walk on the beautiful beach — you can see that this is not a heavily used beach at this time of year. I literally saw no one during my hour walk!
After lunch, we took a 10-mile bike ride down to the east end of the state park. We had the bike trail to ourselves. The trail was mostly firm, but there were a few times we needed to walk our bikes through the soft sand. I guess we needed some "fat tire" bikes!
After dinner, we invited a delightful young couple, who were tent camping next to us, inside for a visit and a chance to warm up. They had just gotten married in November, so we had fun hearing about how they met, their wedding, and their dreams for their future.
Since we always mark February 13 as "the start of our relationship" (42 years ago), it was amazing to look at them just beginning their lives together, and to realize 1973 seems like just yesterday!
